GM Ice Dogs’ Eric Stout named SIJHL – Play It Again Sports Player of the Week

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Superior International Junior Hockey League announced Monday that Dryden GM Ice Dogs forward Eric Stout has been named its Play It Again Sports player of the week, for the period ending Dec. 3.

The 19-year-old Brainerd, Minn., product began his week by tallying twice Wednesday to help lead Team USA to a 5-2 triumph over Team Canada in the SIJHL “Border Battle” All-Star Game at the Hippodrome in Eveleth, Minn.

Returning to regular season action Friday, Stout then doled out a pair of power play assists in Dryden’s 5-1 road victory over the English River Miners at Cochenour Arena.

Last season’s SIJHL – CCM Hockey Rookie of the Year is having another solid campaign in 2017-18 for the GM Ice Dogs as he’s averaging over a point-per-game with 29 in 21 outings having scored 14 times while setting up 15 others.

His offensive totals currently tie him for seventh overall in league scoring.

Also earning consideration for SIJHL Play It Again Sports player of the week honours were the following:
