SIJHL announces suspensions

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – Superior International Junior Hockey League Commissioner Bryan Graham announced the following suspensions resulting from incidents during a trio of games played on Saturday, Oct. 28.

CARTER PELLERIN, THUNDER BAY NORTH STARS – FIVE (5) GAMES

Player is suspended five (5) games under Supplementary Discipline. He was previously assessed a minor penalty for charging in Game No. 37 versus Minnesota Iron Rangers on Oct 28.

As an affiliate player, Pellerin will serve his suspension with the Nipigon Elks of the Lakehead Junior Hockey League.

CARTER CHORNEY, FORT FRANCES LAKERS – THREE (3) GAMES

Player is suspended three (3) games under Supplementary Discipline. He was assessed a match penalty under Hockey Canada rule 9.6 (a) in Game No. 36 versus the Thief River Falls Norskies on Oct. 28.

Chorney will miss following three games:

SIJHL Game No. 40: Nov. 3 vs. Thunder Bay
SIJHL Game No. 41: Nov. 4 at Dryden
SIJHL Game No. 46: Nov. 7 at English River

BRENDAN JAY, DRYDEN GM ICE DOGS – ONE (1) GAME

Player is suspended one (1) game under Supplementary Discipline. He was assessed a major penalty and subsequent game misconduct for fighting under Hockey Canada rule 6.7 (a) on Oct. 28 versus English River.

Jay will miss the following game:

SIJHL Game No. 38: Nov. 1 vs. English River
