FORT FRANCES, ON – The Fort Frances Lakers are pleased to announce the first player signings of the 2024-25 season. Grady Holden of Fort Frances will join the Lakers this fall.
The 6’0, 205-pound defenseman spent the 2023-24 season with the Thunder Bay Kings U18AAA program, competing in the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL)’s U18AAA division. Holden was an Affiliate Player for Kam River last season, recording 4 penalty minutes in two contests for the Fighting Walleye.
“Grady brings size and strength to our defensive zone,” said Lakers Head Coach, Tyler Miller. “He brings a good first pass out of the zone with heads-up hockey on the back end. His size and strength will help our defense win battles.”
“Grady is a local player that our coaching staff is familiar with,” said Lakers General Manager, Luke Judson. “He’s got some great experience with the Thunder Bay Kings, and as an AP with Kam River. We’re excited about his growth and development on and off the ice and are looking forward to seeing him in a Lakers jersey this season.”
