FORT FRANCES, ON – The Fort Frances Lakers are pleased to announce the signing of Nolan Koethler. The 6’2, 170-pound goaltender from Drayton Valley, AB spent the past three seasons with the Leduc Oil Kings AAA program.
Koethler’s 2023-24 campaign saw him post a save percentage of .900 over 20 games, and a .909 sv% during the Oil Kings playoff run. Koethler also appeared in one contest last season for the AJHL’s Drayton Valley Thunder.
“[Nolan] is a player we’ve watched throughout the season,” said Lakers General Manager, Luke Judson. “We’re impressed with how much he’s developed as a player. It’s a testament to his strong work ethic, and we’re looking forward to welcoming him to Fort Frances.”
