Mueller racks up 4th shutout as Wisconsin blanks Fort Frances

FORT FRANCES, Ont. – Wisconsin Lumberjacks goaltender Nathan Mueller turned aside all 33 shots he faced to register his Superior International Junior Hockey League-leading fourth shutout of the season as he blanked the Fort Frances Lakers 3-0 Monday afternoon at Ice for Kids Arena.

The Lumberjacks would score once in each of the three periods to secure the road victory.

Cade Moreland collected the eventual game-winner 7:18 into the contest as his 17th of the campaign in what proved to be the game-winner.

Action in the middle session saw Lukas Lundgren add to the Wisconsin lead early with Nicholas Solema and Darren Shykes being credited with assists.

Solema then picked up his second helper of the day in the third as he set-up Matt Turnbull for his sixth with 12:06 to go to round out the scoring.

Fort Frances goalkeeper Alex Bugeja made 30 saves in defeat for the Lakers.
