Lakers would like to announce the commitment of defenseman Dustin Degeau to Trinity Western University in Langley, British Columbia.
“Dustin will join Lakers alumnus Matt Vela at TWU. Dustin has decided to for go his last year of Junior eligibility to get his schooling started (engineering) and continue his hockey career as well with the Spartans program. Dustin was a versatile dman for us who could do a little of everything. He played in many different roles throughout the year and was a player we could rely on to get the job done.”
“We would have liked to have Dustin back in uniform for this season, however we respect his decision and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.”
With Dustin’s commitment the Lakers program has now helped nine players from last years team reach school commitments and Cole Tymkin will be moving on to the OHL.
