FORT FRANCES, ON – The Fort Frances Lakers are pleased to announce the appointment of eight new members to their Board of Directors.
“The new Board of Directors has a lot of life with young people getting involved,” said Lakers President Gary Silander.
“I think it will make a big change with more people on board. New blood helps.”
Billie-Jo Dittaro, Mike Cuzzolino, Mike Dobing, Glen Kellar, Cam Carr, Bob Bosma, Kaleb Firth and Missy Nelson were appointed at the Lakers Annual General Meeting, held Monday May 15. They will join Silander, Wayne Allen, Angie Korzinski, Sarah Freeman-Kivimaki, Kevin Schulz, John Kotnik, Josephine Tibbs and Gord Hyatt for the
2023-24 season.
Silander thanked outgoing board members Amy Gushulak, Allan Bliss, Jane Johnstone, Melanie McPherson and Ria McPherson, and says big changes are on the horizon.
“There’s lots of enthusiasm overall on the board. Everybody is happy to be here, and I think we’re gonna make this work.”
