On Saturday November 1st vs the Minnesota Iron Rangers, our players will have purple tape on their sticks and socks to support the Shine the Light Campaign. Lakers fans are urged to wear purple to the game as well in support of the campaign. Please come out and show your support! November is Woman Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month in Ontario. Shine the Light is a campaign that was initiated by the London Abused Women’s Centre. Our community will be 1 of approximately 20 others in the province that will be promoting the Shine the Light campaign. The campaign’s signature colour is purple to represent courage, survival, and honour. November 14th is Wear Purple Day.” The campaign here is sponsored by Riverside Community Counselling Services.
