The Fort Frances Lakers would like to announce the following roster additions : Goalie – Pierce Dushenko from the Whitecourt Wolverines of the AJHL for future considerations.
Pierce has also played in the BCHL for the Coquitlam Express and has experience playing in the Western Canada Cup. He will come in and battle for our number one goalie position. Pierce will join the team today, if all paper work clears, and dress for tonight’s game. Defenceman – Austen Bietenbeck from the Grande Prairie Storm of the AJHL for a player development fee. Austen also had BCHL experience with the Langley Riverman and Coquitlam Express. He is a big body player, who has great reach, is good in front of his net, and is a stay at home defenceman with a heavy shot.
We feel both players will be key parts in our pursuit of achieving the goals we have set out for this season.
