Lakers double Iron Rangers 6-3

 

The Fort Frances Lakers had 10 players contribute points in tonights 6-3 win over the Minnesota Iron Rangers. Merritt Rysavy had the game winner and an assist. Jordan Christianson, Davis Smith and Mason Meyer also lead the Lakers with a goal and an assist. Patrick Sofer and Alex Bruess were the other Laker scorers. 

Kevin Kurm had two assists while Colton Spicer, Ethan Brekke and Hunter Leishman also picked up helpers.

Tanner Hamilton picked up his 6th win stopping 15 of the 18 shots he faced.

With the Dryden Ice Dogs victory last night over the Thunder Bay North Stars, the Lakers now sit alone in second place in the SIJHL standings. The Lakers are 9 points behind the league leading Wilderness who have 3 games in hand. 

The Lakers will now travel down highway 502 on Monday October 29th to face the Dryden Ice Dogs. The game goes at the Dryden Memorial Arena at 7:30 pm.
